The Choir of Man is a pleasant surprise in terms of musicals. We were expecting an average show and then, what a mistake it would have been to miss it!

Besides a succession of hits divinely reinterpreted by the singers, we witness a unique moment of reunion. Without even knowing the artists or our neighbours intimately, you quickly feel at home. The atmosphere is unique. Despite the fact that the proscenium is physically present, it disappears almost by magic.

The show is as refreshing as a beer. (Drink responsibly) You can feel a real complicity within the troupe, even a kind of brotherhood. And that’s the essence of the show. The only thing that is stinky is the floor of the pub. The walls ooze good humor.

From Sia to Katy Perry but also older songs such as The Impossible Dream. Can you imagine « manly males » covering Teenage Dream? You have to hear it to believe it!

And how can you not be carried away by a choreography where the pints take part in the dance. Dancing, singing and even moments where we note that backstage, The Handyman, played by the irresistible and sparkling Jordan OLIVER, has swapped his sneakers for tap shoes announcing an amazing and rhythmic number. The opportunity is then given to a new salvo of Waouh! The Barman (Mark IRWIN) knocks us on our asses in his appropriation of Somebody to Love.

Among other things, each singer plays a musical instrument around an band that is perfectly integrated into the show and the set.

Here, testosterone and sweetness are tenderly combined. It is as touching as it is funny.

Don’t be mistaken: small venue, low prices but great show! So why deprive yourself, dare to go to the Jungle, the best pub in the world.

A moment of happiness filled with panache for an immersive musical that is not only for women and shatters prejudices!
