The Cher Show can be summed up in two words: Explosive and Fabulous!
For many generations, we think we don’t know Cher’s songs and yet we quickly realise that each track is familiar to us. The smash hits follow one after the other at a frantic pace in front of a delirious audience, whatever their age.

From the beginning of the show, the lighting makes us realise that we are going to get an eye and earful. Glitter and strass make the show even more brilliant in every sense of the word. We are faced with an unusual way of highlighting black. Here black becomes a colour that dresses the ensemble with class and provocation (we let the navels show anyway!) Perfect for the tap dance number, musical oblige, that will be played on stage. Each of the choreographies is in phase with the musical styles and their time.

More than a musical jukebox, a revival of Cher in the form of a tribute. A show that will leave you with your jaw hitting the floor in a sumptuous staging.
This musical is just like Cher: a star show. But also a divas show. Indeed, one of the feats of the writing lies in the fact that the three performers of Cher do not take turns on stage. They are present together without the chronology being disturbed. This is completely crazy and very well done.
From the beginning, with the first sample from Believe followed immediately by the shivering If I could turn back time, to the masterful end, You haven’t the last of me, to the insertion of the soundtrack of Walt Disney’s Cinderella, we are astonishingly held in suspense. Each track fits perfectly into a book that is breathtaking and overall fun because it is full of self-mockery. So a musical biopic can be great!
The use of the settings to illustrate the passing years is also well thought out. It is worth noting that for a tour version, there is no lack of scenery.

The voices of each of the artists are amazing, reminding us of the singer’s atypical timbre. A deep sound and an interpretation that is just as deep. You will be disturbed by the opening salvo of Bang Bang (My baby shot me down) or by an acoustic version of Believe that will bring tears to your eyes.

The Cher Show is a real rejuvenation. It’s f*cking good, as the diva might say and even if we can’t use that word. A real Gift !
